As part of the **Week of Discovery 2** project, we had the honor of welcoming 8th and 9th grade students from two primary schools to our company Trhová Kamenice Primary School and Krouna Primary School.
For the students, we prepared a comprehensive program that allowed them to gain insight not only into the history and operation of our company, but above all to try carpentry work hands-on.
Getting to Know the Company and the Industry
The program was opened by the company owner Ing. Martin Pavliš, who guided the students through the history of our company, presented our production portfolio and showcased significant projects and clients we work with. Students thus gained a comprehensive overview of how a modern carpentry company operates and what opportunities this field offers.
Creativity and Digital Technology
In the next part of the program, students tried working with Pcon visualization software, where they created a 3D office design. This activity showed them that carpentry today is not just about working with wood, but also about creativity, design and computer work.
Production Tour
This was followed by a tour of our entire production hall, where they had the opportunity to see how specific products are made, get acquainted with modern machines and technologies, and understand the entire production process from design to final product.
Practical Carpentry Work
The highlight of the visit was the practical part, where students tried carpentry work themselves. Under guidance, they completed the production of colorful wall shelves, which they then took to their classrooms. These shelves will not only serve them, but also remind them of an interesting day spent discovering the carpentry craft.
Twice the Same Program, Twice the Great Atmosphere**
Each visit had its unique charm. Students from both schools showed great interest in the carpentry craft, were curious, asked interesting questions and enthusiastically engaged in practical work.
It was a joy to watch their enthusiasm, skill and creativity both when creating the office visualization and when making the shelves.
We thank the students and teachers from Trhová Kamenice Primary School and Krouna Primary School for their visit and look forward to further meetings!
